For EcoCAR2, the University of Waterloo Alternative Fuels Team designed an ethanol-electric series hybrid. Three motors and an ethanol engine give the vehicle all wheel drive, the ability to run fully electric, and range extension using E85.
For the EcoCAR Challenge competition, I worked with the University of Waterloo Alternative Fuels Team to build a hydrogen-electric hybrid vehicle. We integrated a GM fuel cell system, A123 battery pack, and two electric motors in to a Saturn Vue
