The MIC2026 and MIC2076 are high-side MOSFET switches that are optimized for general-purpose power distribution with circuit protection. The MIC2026/76 have an internal current limit and a thermal shutdown to protect the device and load. The MIC2076 includes "smart" thermal shutdown, which reduces current consumption during fault modes. When there is a thermal shutdown fault, the output is latched off until the faulty load is removed. The device output is reset when the load is removed or the enable input is toggled. Both devices use soft-start circuitry to reduce inrush current in applications with highly capacitive loads.
