I've seen too much of mythbusters with their very common remote control problems.

Driver can handle unexpected stuff. e.g. replace tires, bus stuck in a ditch, offer first aid, etc

Are you going to strand your passengers in the middle of nowhere or have them fix the bus?

Having a remote system to backup the real driver is a good idea.

That is future of technology we called it as "Automation".

Next time do some research as to the responsibility of a drivers or anything you try to remove.

Automation meets liability...  Technology evolves whatever but when you are running a business that involves well being of others, you can't take the legal responsibility away that easily.  Let the insurance company figure out the risk factors if/when technology is ready for it.  The business cost is not just the salary.

There is a different industry that you should look at: Trucking.  Same issues, but much less liabilities and not have to worry about consumer appeals.

Yes you are right. there are advantages as well as disadvantages.But always keep in mind there is space of improvement in every technology or invention.
