We are still working on this project!
12/21/2015 at 09:10 • 2 commentsYesterday i made some breakout boards for a laser driver ic ( IC-HKB ) from ic-haus.de
This small part will replace the self made laser driver which was based on the die4drive
laser diode driver. The IC-HKB supports laser switching for frequencies from CW up to 155 MHz.
When the laser driver is working, we will design a shield with all the needed controlling units on it.
We are planing to release an open exposer DIY kit next year.

First printing test with the flex vat
09/13/2015 at 19:55 • 0 commentsToday i had the time to test the Open Exposer flex vat. And i can proudly announce that it is working. With the flex vat there is no need for a vat tilt mechanism anymore. It it also much easier to clean the vat and change the vat foil. Thanks to @Moritz for his great vat design files!
It is time now to work on better print results. The first task is writing a new Slicer for the Open Exposer.

Replaced Petri dish/vat with FEP Flex vat
08/20/2015 at 14:57 • 0 commentsFirst of all, special thanks to @Moritz for sharing his Flex vat files. Last weekend i made a modification of the original fep-vat files which @Moritz provides at GitHub. Here are some pictures of my modification for the Open Exposer.
And finally here a short Youtube video where i tested the vat tension.
I will do a print test with the new FEP-Vat this weekend.
