Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to look into the SG92R Servos! I hadn't given much thought to 3DOF Legs simply because I wanted to keep the servo count to a minimum to make it more affordable and reduce the buyout part count.
Hi, you might be interested in some of my experiments with #Tote.
From what I see in the pictures, I have some suggestions/questions:
* Try SG92R servos instead of MG90S. They are lighter, cheaper and stronger. They use carbon fiber gears instead of metal gears.
* Consider using plastic (acrylic or nylon) bolts to reduce the weight.
* Have you thought about going full 3dof?
