DPS-1520AB Server Supply Hotswap Breakout

Power Breakout for RC Chargers and ASIC Miners

Similar projects worth following
Allows for quick changes from supply failures should they occur, or for large scale mining operation installs & RC charging supplies

I wanted an easier way to connect power and seen other boards available for server supplies that looked great but none that i found for the DPS-1520AB. series supply
so I set out and made my own based on various pinout information found online

The Supply Side receptacle: (ON THE DPS-1520AB)
Internal Header (Amphenol FCI Part: 51939-104LF)

Breakout Board Side hotswap:
PCB Header (Amphenol FCI Part: 51915-101LF)

pci-e connectors: (18awg 7.5A 30 Deg C max temp rise 32.2 max per pin)
Molex 6 Pin pci-e connector (Molex part: 0039281063)

Connectors to connect to pcb via wires
6 Pin PCI-E Male Connector (Molex part: 0039012060)

Crimp pins for 14-18awg wire:
Crimp Pins (Molex part: 0039000038)

the two solder jumpers are for power and fan speed

Also I would recommend using 2oz copper if you make one

Is there any way to adjust output voltage on theese ? I have two and I need to get 13,7 Volts out of them to supply cars while programming.

Hello, will anyone have the diagram of dps-1520ab? I need to repair the circuit where the ice 2a180z is and the zener diodes are disintegrated.

I'm building a server cluster box and have 2x HP 412138-B21 2250W Redundant Power Supply Unit for BLC7000 with what I think is  this male connector FCI 51939-183LF or 51939-186LF.

Having a bit of trouble finding the receptacle, female socket to the above male header. There are so many designs and the data-sheet doesn't  mention the part. Trying to find the female part is a nightmare on digi-key and mouser...... :-(

contact Amphenol FCI and  they will help using the online chat feature

then the same goes using digikey also for finding it if they have stock that is

they require a large min order quantity though if not in stock

there are premade ones for most supplies here

Thanks for the info. Will ask about the interface tomorrow. I've already been to the bitcointalk page but nothing was produced for the 2250w psu as far as I could tell.

After looking at a few data sheets and ordering the wrong connector
(cough) I got a reply from a few emails to Mouser and FCI with (hopefully) the right part number.

Mousers postage cost to the UK is a killer so I'll have to buy a few connectors to make it worth it. Mouser Part No: 649-51915-072LF
I bought 8 pin pci-e power connectors for my DIY cluster power board to spread the load over the cables.
Now I need to learn how to use a CAD program...... sigh and find a UK pcb producer. I'm clueless.... Any reccomendations?

Now dusting of my copy of Eagle....
