For my robitic project I test different sensors to assist my other sensors for generationg more precise SLAM Data.
I try a one point Lidar sensor for distance localisation.
I had the problem that the cheap Lidar sensors are slow if used as LIDAR scanners.
I looked for a nice solution for me - a Lidar camera where i can measure multiple points at one time.
For sure you can find a tof camera module - but the most of them would need a big cpu or a special interface - most of them are also not open source.
The sensor should be easy usable and interfacable with an arduino.
The Idea behind is to create an open source multipixel Lidar sensor which is open source, and easy to use.
Also since i think about it, i ask me if i can master this multidisciplinary challenge.
