Cut two square sections of carbon fiber.

Affix wire to the CF by weaving or taping

On a flat surface cover one section of the CF with liquid latex.

Mix two part silicone together well, then combine 10% by weight fumed silica or diatomaceous earth with the silicone and coat the other CF section. I used my finger to spread it about as it was very thick.

Let the sides cure, then trim the excess polymer from them to tidy them up a bit.

I then connected the leads to a UV led strip.

Press the two sides of the CF together and pull them apart to see the LEDs light up as a potential is generated between electrodes.
