1Cut two square sections of carbon fiber.
You will want to tape the edges before you cut as the CF weave will fray all over the place, You can see blue tape underneath.

2Affix wire to the CF by weaving or taping

3On a flat surface cover one section of the CF with liquid latex.

4Mix two part silicone together well, then combine 10% by weight fumed silica or diatomaceous earth with the silicone and coat the other CF section. I used my finger to spread it about as it was very thick.

5Let the sides cure, then trim the excess polymer from them to tidy them up a bit.

6I then connected the leads to a UV led strip.

7Press the two sides of the CF together and pull them apart to see the LEDs light up as a potential is generated between electrodes.
