why dont you draw a simple "receiver" module running a photodetector backed with a tiny MCU, one RGB LED and a CR2032? All (I mean one "receiver" per drawer) would grab the LED data stream sent by the requester's LED, for each "receiver" to check if the message contains his ID in order to "output" or "no output" (that is the question, and that's what this project is all about!! :)
Kind of a upgradable, binary, Li-Fi powered, display.. As my best friend would say "only few line of code" huh
@PointyOintment there's a bunch of idioms that translate horribly (word by word), this one is one of them and was not chosen by accident ;)
It actually translates to: with time comes advice, iirc. There's also "live life in full trains" - which should actually be something like "go through live with big steps (?)"
Nice idea. Of course, you could just number the boxes as well (box 1, drawer A1, A2,.. A5, B1, B2..., box 2...) and the webpage would show the box and drawer numbers, but this wouldn't be as fancy.
Nice work !!
