The state machines here are pretty simple. In the next boot camp we'll tackle two practical state machines: a serial transmitter and receiver. Sure, you can find plenty of these on the Internet and your FPGA vendor might even give you some as IP (Intellectual Property; think libraries for FPGAs). But it is a great project to roll your own. You might even want to give it a shot before you move to the next Bootcamp.
