retrac
RETRAC is a relay computer. Nothing is built yet. It's still only sketches.
Tentative design:
- 12 bit accumulator machine
- stored program
- relay latch, relay/capacitor RAM
- diode matrix + switch ROM
- SPST reed relays
- interrupt support
The architecture is a simple memory-accumulator machine, with just enough features, like indirect addressing and return address linking, to support structured programming.

I have always wanted to build a relay processor but the number of relays and cost has kept me from doing that. I tried to make my own very rough relays but it would take a lifetime to make enough of them unless 3D printed is a option. Do not give up on your idea, I would like to see this happen for you :-)
