If you stand in front of it, it measures the distance between you and displays it.
It was a fun little project and somehow it predicted last year (2020) mood when the words "keeping distance" got a different meaning than I planned. It was meant to be something that instantly reacts to human behaviours, not static sculpture.
The hardest part was to make 7-seg LED 3d circuits and most rewarding is always when the code finally works as you planned. I like to use scraped wood parts as a base: it looks nice together with copper.
