Usage

Just navigate to LAN Detector with the browser and wait for several minutes until your private IP addresses are detected.

In the case if your Class C network is not detected (or you know the subnet and want to save a couple of minutes), just enter the subnet address in edit box for detecting IP addresses in it.

Troubleshooting

• The browser shall be not the anonymous one (e.g. Tor Browser). Also it shall support modern scripting capabilities (so Internet Explorer will not work too).
• The application is designed to detect IP addresses in small (home) networks (most common Class C, /24 subnets). So in the case if your computer is in several Class C networks, the application may try to detect IP devices on wrong subnet (e.g. in docker swarm, or some other virtual subnet you may have). If it detects nothing, just refresh the LAND webpage and another subnet will be picked for detection.
• Depending on your local environment, the application may not work. For example, it is not able to detect anything from Firefox on one of my Android devices, while it works well on Chrome at the same device.

Privacy

Shortly speaking, your private IP addresses remain private. The server is not supplied with the information that can be used for deducting yours private IP addresses on server side. The detected local IP addresses don’t leave your computer and remain in browser local store. While the history of detection is shown when navigating LAND web page, you can delete it any time from the browser (just delete Site Data for land.etaras.com).
