11Programming the DC-DC board
- Install FlexProp. https://github.com/totalspectrum/flexprop
- Download the solarcarengeering repository. https://github.com/realsolarcarsllc/solarcarengineering
Start FlexProp.
Configure FlexProp to use this one supplied with the solarcarengineering repository. RSC_flashloader.binary
A good program to use for testing may be pcdb2105_test10.spin2 . Open this in FlexProp. This program turns on the high voltage output all the time, which makes it good for testing the hardware on the bench.
I recommend that you DO NOT write programs to flash until you have tested and they work well. You do not want the board to start a potentially damaging program at power-on.
I used the spare contactor module shown in a previous step to test software in a safe(r) environment. It would also be possible to build a test fixture from standard relays.
The program for charging the Chevy Volt G1 is pcdb2105_testvolt3.spin2. Test it with "Compile and Run" before doing "Compile and Flash."
