The Machinist's Hammer is the project constructed during the Tormach Lathe Training class.
The design was fabricated using a combination of CNC operations (hammer faces) as well as conversational machining using the Path Pilot interface on the Tormach Slant Pro.
The facing, tapering and parting operations were all performed with carbide insert tooling, and the boring operations with a combination of drill tooling. Knurling was performed using a Dorian Tool cut knurler.
This looks like a useful tool. Is design data / drawings / ... available?
The majority of the machining was done using the conversational interface in PathPilot on the lathe. IIRC the hammer faces and handle were modeled in Fusion360. We didn't get copies of the Fusion projects, but I'll upload all the g-code.
