Our electronics box
06/15/2023 at 15:44 • 0 commentsWe designed a box to contain our circuit and electronic components in an organized way.

New render!
06/06/2023 at 15:33 • 0 commentsAfter some more work on our 3D model, we added the final features that we needed to best represent our model.
We rendered our model with textures and colors and are really happy with the progress!

Final render of Arm Mate
05/25/2023 at 23:29 • 0 commentsWe finally finished the 3D model, and we rendered it using Solidworks and Keyshot.
We applied the textures, colors, and looks of what we would like our final product to have, so we could finally see our ideal product.
In the final product, we would like to use carbon fiber and transparent TPU, to make some parts resistant and other parts more flexible.

3D model of Arm Mate
05/24/2023 at 22:25 • 0 commentsWe started creating our 3D model on Solidworks, generating the final shape and design of our product.
In this 3D model, we can see the main parts: the arm part, the forearm part, the hand part, and the phalanges part.

Final product sketch
05/24/2023 at 22:22 • 0 commentsA new sketch to illustrate the final design of Arm Mate
We made a digital sketch including all the parts, the cable system, the materials, the colors, and everything necessary to understand the final look of Arm Mate.

New pictures of the beta prototype
05/24/2023 at 22:16 • 0 commentsWith the finished beta prototype, we took some pictures to see the unified product.
We can see all the parts are now unified.
We can see the arm part, the elbow part, the hand part and the phalanges part.
We still used the same model we were building, but we tried adjusting it to our teammate's Damaris measures, so we can also work with our concept of adjustability that is important for Arm Mate

Adjusting the beta prototype
05/24/2023 at 22:10 • 0 commentsWe made some new adjustments to the beta prototype, creating the phalanges sections, and adjusting the hand part.
We generated the phalanges part to also understand the possible shapes ald ways to work with them in a 3D model.

First beta prototypes
05/24/2023 at 22:08 • 0 commentsWe started making some prototypes with cardboard, making the shape that goes around the arms
We used our teammate's Manu arm to have standard measures, and to also help us when we design our 3D model.

Our final and important sketches
05/24/2023 at 22:01 • 0 commentsWe generated some new sketches for ArmMate, to explore the final shape and start generating the firsts prototypes
We started with some digital sketches, to understand how many parts our system could have, also analyzing shapes.
Now that we understood the parts we needed, we started to generate the whole system, including the shapes and all the arm parts.
Now we draw some sketches for the phalanges part to understand the function of these parts.
With the hand part and the elbow part defined, we can now make a full sketch.

New Arm Mate logo
05/15/2023 at 15:33 • 0 commentsWe have finally selected a logo and began selecting the possible and future colors for the identity.
We generated this logo using Adobe Illustrator, also considerating an ideal typography.
