ROBOT balancer moteus

This project was created on 05/30/2024 and last updated 2 years ago.

Description

I've been fascinated by balancing machines for years, but haven't managed to make one that worked well until now. This is a dirt simple build that uses two moteus-c1's to drive two surplus hoverboard motors. A pi3hat is used for the IMU and CAN-FD, and a cordless drill battery provides power. It can drive for hours on a single charge, and can operate on a reasonably wide variety of terrain, considering it has rigid tires and no suspension!
