a DIY open-source SONAR

I built a working dive SONAR using Open Echo. 

This lets you "see" in water with low visibility and has a range of at least 25m. (couldn't test further)

I is CNC machined from a big block of PE, runs on a raspberryPi, 7" screen and the All-In-One development hardware of Open Echo.

Open Echo has a new Python Interface software for easier data viewing and some settings. You can also send NMEA-compatible data to other software like openCPN or i-Boating for depth information.
