TIM-011 represents the peak (or swan song) of 8-bit computing of late 1980-ies. Powerful HD64180 microprocessor with integrated memory management unit (superset of legendary Z80), 256kB of RAM, 512*256 resolution graphics, integrated floppy disk controller - it allowed upgraded CP/M operating system (ZCPR) to run all of CP/M software available at that time. When it appeared, it could rival the PC-XT clones that were taking over the home and professional desktop computing.
