One of a kind Merry-Go-Round ride

PCB Panels:

Each Carousel requires 5 color panel and 1 functional panel, the panel layout is highly cost optimized for jlcpcb order.

The color panel is mostly structural with very little electrical connections. This also does not need any SMT assembly

The functional panel is made of base board with a PCB motor, There is a led control board with SMD leds, and with connections to drive the filament LEDs also.

The PCB stator coil is not yet tested.

Project Origins:

I was interested to try the Color PCBs offered by JLCPCB. Since I usually make functional boards for RC models, I found no use for the color silkscreens.

I always wanted to make some miniature amusement park ride. So instead of 3D printing it, I made this using Colorful PCBs. Even the stator of the base motor is designed with PCB coils. Designing this was a new experience.

This project took two full weeks to design. The schematic is simple; the panel templates and graphics took most of the time.
It was a back and forth between onshape <> inkscape <> easyeda.

Luckily this project went much smoother than expected.
Every part fitted perfectly into place; tolerances were perfect.
This is my first time using Colorful boards from jlc, it looks highly detailed.
So two weeks of design was worth it, since everything went better than my expectations.
