The third prototype had the fully functional 2 balls with a solid base to test all the functions but aesthetically it was very boring. So in the next version I redesigned the base 

The second prototype was a lot smoother and a small motor was able to turn the ball

The first prototype of the mechanism. The first print was very rough and had a lot of friction. After this I added bearing on both shafts and made it a lot more smoother so that small motors could drive the balls
