CI/CD systems are out there many years. But what if your test system ist more capable and intelligent than just predefined test cases?
I tried it.
My open source paragliding wind station (https://github.com/Breezedude/breezedudeWindSensor) is a solar powered, low power LoRa transmitter for sending Wind data to the valley. A long-range weather station. Average power consumption (including the ultrasonic WS85 sensor) is 890µA. But can it be even less?
I ask Claude to check my code for inefficiencies, and instead of guessing, we can measure the result in Ampere draw using a Nordic PowerProfiler Kit II (PPK). Ant the best thing. I can just tell Claude to control the PPK itself... and read the measurements... and do the optimization fully automatic und unattended. So we have a HIL test rig, controlled and accessible to a AI agent. It can flash, it can control, it can set power, it can analyze UART outputs und measure power consumption.
And what do I need to add more. It works perfectly
