A blanket-inspired, remote-controlled robot that gets up close and personal with anyone who shares its bed. Has an aluminum skeleton wrapped in foam and fabric. The skeleton is animated by servos that route into a PIC-based control circuit. A separate computer feeds in patterns that move it around the bed, and on top of people who share it. Movements, direction and intensity are remote controlled by a person, but ideally the robot would be autonomous. Current State: out of commission - the circuit blew up a few years ago. Would like to improve with better motors, and adding sensors.
