Pulling the transformer out of its socket. The connector is reversed and broken, and needs replacing. The solder at the connector need de-soldering and the cable can be pullet out. Cleaning and repair can begin.

The connector was apparently once replaced and is now also broken. Strangely, it has a female connector and the brass screw holding it in place is all chewed up. But I still managed to open it and lift the broken connector out.
