Modding Improved Cooling and Charging for GearVR

Designing a new inner/outer backplate and cooling/charging circuit for the Samsung Note4 Phone

Similar projects worth following
Let's get something together in order to remove some of the Note4's limitations.

For now, let's say the project goals are to:

Improve cooling during GearVR use
Add the ability to charge the battery while the phone is mounted in GearVR
Keep additional weight to a minimum

Proposed parts so far:

3D Printed brass heat-sink - http://www.shapeways.com/materials/brass?li=nav
3D printed plastic inner backplate - http://www.shapeways.com/materials/strong-and-flexible-plastic
Female MicroUSB 2.0 ports - https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12035
Low profile fan: http://goo.gl/SdmHk3

Current needs:

A 3d scan/recreation of the current plastic inner-backplate, suitable for printing modified duplicates
A design for a new plastic inner-backplate that can both accept an ordinary rear phone cover, and a removable heat sink.
A design that would provide power to the phone and fan at the internal battery connector.

We need a source for these that does not have such a large minimum order: http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/SMT-DIP-1-6mm-and-2_1450678571.html

Since we're proposing cooling through the back of the PCB: https://books.google.co.jp/books?id=AUHqhqn7mRMC&pg=PA81&lpg=PA81&dq=heat+sink+touching+pcb&source=bl&ots=NDYtBV4sw8&sig=zlx7pEUYNfe9Y0Dmos4UB1VOs0I&hl=en&sa=X&ei=3-KcVKTRK-XVmgW49IKgBQ&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=heat%20sink%20touching%20pcb&f=false

Adafruit has female USB micro-B ports with a plastic shroud piece, and I think SparkFun has PCB-mount ones.

The heatsink could possibly be printed from brass http://www.shapeways.com/materials/brass?li=nav
