The keyboard receiver was initially under the acrylic but didn't always see the keyboard so I moved it up and just behind the LCD. You can see it sticking out on the right side and works well. My friend used a USB laptop sized keyboard and was able to put it on top of his acrylic, but remember his monitor is thinner than mine so he had room to put everything inside his case.
