Forget Pokemon, where training OpenCV
05/26/2015 at 20:40 • 0 commentsEveryone is home since we had a severe storm last night. So I finally got around to retraining openCV to detect trash. I still want to move to move to more of a machine learning with sampling sections of an image for objects. More like which one of these things doesn't belong. once the training is complete I will take this out front and test. Once trash is detected correctly and working nicely I might have to do one for poop. Those dog landmines are a pain to clean...

05/26/2015 at 01:05 • 0 commentsThis is turning out to be harder than i thought. I think some features will have to move to phase 2 to ensure the primary functions work. High level of parts with lower levels releasing soon.

All software right now
05/20/2015 at 11:59 • 0 commentsI have been barely busy on this project with life events taking over every other aspect of time. So what have a I done...
1.) Got approval from son to modify his power wheel as our test robot platform
2.) Obtained several thousand images of "trash" and painstakingly hand photo-chopped each piece out.
3.) Started to run the image recognition software on the test images however it wants to scale all the images which makes trash look really ugly. This makes me want to take a step back and teach the robot, "what doesn't belong here". Maybe Sesame Street can help....
