1Buld your own 3D printer
Dont be woos!
anybody can lay down a couple of hundred bucks and buy a printer be daring scratch through your junk box and see what you can come up with.
slap it together, youll be supprised how well it work

2Get the file
The stl file is posted HERE. Down load it

3set it up in your favorite Slicer
I use slic3r it works for me but use what ever floats your baot - I use a .4mm nozel and .2mm layer height
PLA works fine - just dont leave it in a car on a hot day
Print it on its side with supports

4Send it to your printer
Print it OUT sit back have a beer and watch in amazement as the part appears before your very eyes - I love watching my printer in action - It gives me great satisfaction watching something i created out of a pile of junk make produce something out of what appears to be nothing. I also love the smell of burning PLA in the morning :

5Clean it up
remove the supports and clean up the rough edges with abit of sandpaper and fit it all together. The elsatic that holds the ball all together was long gone from my ball So I just used a few rubber bands to hold the haves togther

6Enjoy the fruits of your labour
Sitt down with your little one and help them stick the shapes in the right holes - they love you for ever ( well I hope mine do :o )
