New PCBs laid out
08/19/2015 at 16:02 • 0 commentsAfter that horrible botch job that was the first version, these look a bit better. Still waiting for those end mills to arrive, though.

Current Source Software ready for testing
08/17/2015 at 15:36 • 0 commentsThe actual pulse/reverse pulse current code was easy. The menu navigation was a different story. But it's all running now, and there is still some RAM left. Now, all that's missing really are the new PCBs. I'll get there eventually..

First set of current source PCBs destroyed
08/17/2015 at 08:08 • 0 commentsAfter imaging and etching the boards, I tried to take a shortcut and assemble them without soldermask. So I had to rework some parts of the boards until the traces came off, and that was when I decided to scrap them and make new ones, this time with the right size holes.
Will have to wait for my new endmills to arrive. :/

PCBs imaged and developed
08/16/2015 at 08:00 • 0 commentsDue to a miscalculation in my gcode-generator-script, all holes are too big. Will be a pain to solder.

Current source PCBs are drilled
08/14/2015 at 10:26 • 0 commentsI wrote a script to generate gcode from Kicad's Gerber and Excellon exports. The script works fine but the feed rate was waaay too high. Broke off an 0.8mm router bit and the boards look awful. There will be a lot of deburring to do, but it'll work. *Sigh*
