powering

Since this is supposed to be portable, I want to throw in a LiPo battery, but everything runs on 3.3V. While searching for step-up/step down converters I found the pololu.com S7V8F3. I've bought one some time ago and I'll just throw it in, instead of using a booster to 5V and a 1117 to drop it down again.
Should have stayed with 5Vs, now that I'm thinking about that. Meh.

first days of fiddling
11/14/2015 at 23:56 • 0 commentsThree things I could rant about:
- I forgot that the Arduino is 3.3V and 8MHz
- the OLED displays I once bought had no reset circuit - fixed by adding a 10k resistor and 100nF cap, see: http://rayvenn.alnet.com.ua/2013/08/crius-oled-display-fix/
- the mounting holes of the pcbs are designed off center from the joystick - fixed case with dremel
