OpenExposer

Yestarday i made a new vat mount. Wingscrews are used for a better vat leveling now. The vat mount is attached on four springs. I also use this construction for the new vat tilt mechanism. 

I am working on a new case for the OpenExposer.  

I just solved the scattered light problem. Now i am working on a new protocol. I will switch to gcode. So it will be possible to use an existing host software . (e.g. pronterface). 

Next week i will start to make the PCB Exposing (laminator like) attachment.

I am back from Hannover Maker Faire. Time to proceed  with the project. Thank you to all visitors of my booth.

The copper plate seems to work good. I am fighting with some scattered light. I don't know where it comes from. The first build of the Exposer Box doesn't have problems with scattered light. I changed the laser position last week, maybe i have to rework or calibrate the laser mount. I will find out tomorrow how to fix it, because there are many things to prepare for the Hannover Makerfaire.

I have still problems to get the resin stick to the build stage. That is the reason why i made two new build stage versions. One which uses glas and another one which uses a pcb copper plate. Hopefully i will find a suitable material for the stage soon. Any suggestions?

Visit the "Make Light" booth at Hannover Makerfaire (5 and 6 of july). I will be there to show you the Open Exposer project in action.

After the Makerfaire in Hannover (Germany) i will start to build the PCB exposing extension. It should work like a laminator by pushing the copperplate through the Open Exposer unit. All parts will be 3D printable or laser cutable. The following rough sketch will give you an idea.

Hooray, the first test result of the new z-axis contruction with Spot-A-Materials Spot-GP resin looks good. Stage leveling is easier now. I can't wait to test MadeSolid's resin. There are some bugs in the host software. And i have to switch from my own binary protocol to a gcode compatible protocol.

Yesterday i printed the last 2 parts of the new build stage.
