Async is a project which uses machine learning to compose music based on the music preference of the listener. The aim of this project is to build a device that can generate new tunes by training machines to understand music similar to how humans do.

Async comes in a form factor of a Bluetooth speaker with a Linux based compute module which runs reinforcement learning algorithms. This project is targeted to help artists generate new music ideas, to generate some new tunes for a music listener to enjoy and to help design new musical instruments by combining the sounds from different instruments we find today.
