I am OPEN SOURCING all the files of this project for others under the "Files" section (uploaded as sketchup files .skp). If you like the project, you are welcome to 3D print it. I would love to hear feedback on the design. Looking forward to collaborations with medical experts and product designers.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
The project has been developed to second prototype. I am applying to this contest to raise funds for building the third prototype. I have already bought minimum equipment to build a 'put-together' prototype but I request people to like and vote for this project so that this idea gets selected!
I am applying to this competition to develop the Product version of the prototype with sophisticated design.
The two iterations have been done so far, both consisting of different humidifying mechanisms.
Statement of Motivation: There was a need to make an ultra cheap therapy device which is affordable by all dry eye patients irrespective of their economic status. The proposed model aims to create an en closed humid environment around the eye for moisture enhancement and retention.
This project is specifically being developed for people with average to severe dry eye condition or Steven Johnson's Syndrome (SJS) as a preventive and therapeutic device.
I've had multiple surgeries (PRK and PTK) what they don't tell you is that it destroys your eye's ability to tear when needed. Sleeping at night is especially bad and humidifiers aren't able to do the job. Waking up every hour to put drops in your eyes never allows for a good nights sleep.
This project looks like it has great potential as an idea but would love to see an end product that is light and comfortable to wear while sleeping.
Keep up the great work. Will be following this project.
