- Attiny85 to individual control 20 LED with charlieplexing
- 40 LED total
- sound output (not working in this version, bug on PCB)
- AAA battery in stand for power
- full 3D construction
- it can not fly :-(

Simplified version:
- without MCU, chip crisis resistant
- ideal as solder learning toy

BOM (this is my crazy configuration, you can use 0805 or 0603 LEDS):

    - 1x Attiny 85
    - 4x Spring battery holder BCL82PC (KEYSTONE)
    - 4x 47R 0603
    - 1x 100n 0603
    - 1x mode switch PTS810SJG250SMTRLF (C&K)
    - speaker not working now, do not solder
  • PLASMA COILS
    - 10x 3014 blue LED on coil
(3014 LED is very hard to solder without hot air gun, you can use 0805)
    - 2x 0802 red LED on front - this is side LED
    - 2x 0802 yellow LED on tail - this is side LED
  • DEFLECTOR
    - 6x 0603 blue led
  • MIDDLE BOARD
    - 4x 0802 red LED, 2 on tail, 2 under plate - this is side LED
(do not mix, use same color)
  • PLATE
    - 1x clear white LED 8mm as bridge
    - 6x 3014 white LED
(3014 LED is very hard to solder without hot air gun, you can use 0805)
    - 1x 0805 pink LED, above NCC - 1701 text, soldered on side
    - 4x 0805 white LED, under bridge, soldered on side
    - 1x 4014 green LED as laser

Does anyone have spare pcb's left over? I don't really see the point of ordering 10 pieces for $40 including shipping. I'm willing to pay $10 + enveloppe shipping for just a single pcb.

Great project! I also ordered the boards. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with the hex file which I have downloaded here. In the video you should see the problem: https://youtu.be/bO3Jmj0WaZk
Is there another version?

Hi, sorry for troubles, I no add assembly instructions, I am very bad in writing manual.

it is look like your battery board is reversed, just solder battery base board with readable logo to you, chcek my pictures.

PS: great job, nice to see my project replication.

The BRD file seems to be missing outline information, which makes it impossible to generate gerber. I wanted to send the files to different PCB fab (have issues with Dirty PCB) and I wanted a few in different mask color for making them into Christmas ornament including red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white.

I am interesting for a easy solder version without programming MCU.

Can anyone send me a programmed ATTiny 85 for money ?

Could you please provide a BOM and an assembly plan. (Yes, I could figure it out by reverese engineering, but this is not the way it's meant to be, isn't ist?) This takes 5 minutes in eagle. I already ordered from dirty PCBs! Great project, nice design!

This looked like a cool project, but as it turns out, $38 is bit too steep for me for 10 PCBs.

My original order was about $20, but I was informed by Dirty PCBs that the product was oversized.  The product price doubled and shipping quadrupled. (FYI - It will cost you $0.50 to get a PayPal refund.)

sorry, I need pay bills and buy food for my kids. I get 9$ from order. Dirty pcb have very bad shop interface.

Is there a part list anywhere? "assembly by pictures, you can use leds as you want" is a bit tricky when you only have these pictures to order the stuff.

I create part list.

tbnobody wrote 09/05/2019 at 13:48 point

Do you also provide a BOM or schematic? Without that it's quite difficult to find all parts.
