When playing with microSD, you want use SPI flash in your design and you have uSD connector, you can
- 1. design new board
- 2. connect flash with wires, what if you need play with more Flash models ???
My situation > I have nice board with uSD socket but I need develop firmware for spi flash and in future replace in design uSD socket with flash + I want play with different chips/ memory sizes/ manufactures ....
Insert flash module a regular uSD socket.
All necessary pins are broken out to an 8-pin DIP header for breadboard or FLASH chips.
NOTE:
This board is for embedded microcontroller designs, not for uSD card readers !!!

I'm rather interested in "going the other way"... using an SD card as a substitute for an SPI flash chip. It looks like this project gives me some of the information I need. I'd love to hear you comments.
