Our goal as a group on this project is to make a game that uses one button, making the game as simple and easy yet fun game we possibly can. We are programming with Arduino IDE and using LED displays.

Our goal as a group on this project is to make a game that uses one button, making the game as simple and easy yet fun game we possibly can. We are programming with Arduino IDE and using LED displays.
For the 7th week of our project, we worked on a trifold for a presentation for community members and people that came in to observe our project that works with assistive technology. We also worked on getting our code done for this presentation so that we could present an example of what the game actually did, unfortunately, we did not finish on time but were able to give a thorough explanation as to what our game was meant to do.
During the sixth week of our project, we started off by doing research we were having trouble when trying to figure out how to get the button to react when pressed rather than it being held. This research has also included figuring out how to get the blocks to disappear and for them to be the correct colors. we also made a trifold for a presentation.
during the fifth week of our project, we have so far gotten the ball to move strait and it moves strait when the button is pressed and held, we are trying to get it to function the same and move forward to make contact with the boxes without having to hold the button. We are also working on getting the boxes set to the correct color because when we were making them into variables it made them all one color, they do change but all at once,
During the 4th week of our project we reprinted the base of our housing due to the 3d printer running out of material. we also are working on getting the button when pressed to make the ball stop moving and make contact with the boxes. We started working on a grid to hold down the displays and to hold down a piece of vellum paper to distort the LEDs and make it look a little smoother. We have been messing with the LED brightness to see what would be best through the vellum paper as well.
At the start of week 3 we finished our housing and are working on getting it 3d printed, we also started working on turning each box into there own separate variables, another thing we did during the third of our project is we went back to having the displays set vertically because we would not be able to 3d print the housing to hold them vertically due to the trouble of getting cables to run through correctly and due to the fact that you cant print over the air.
Week 2: Today we took a break from designing the housing for this system's components and continued working on the programming attempting to get the LEDs to light up at the correct time. On day 7 We worked on getting the LEDs lit in the right place and started working on getting the ball to move, we also decided to scrap our idea for the housing of the game. On the eighth day of this assignment, we got our ball rolling and we started on getting the blocks to disappear when the ball makes contact with them, we started the housing redesign and decided to have the display vertical instead of our original plan of it being horizontal. On day 9 we finished our housing and are working on getting it 3d printed, we also started working on turning each box into there own separate variables, another thing we did on the ninth day of our project is we went back to having the displays set vertically because we would not be able to 3d print the housing to hold them vertically due to the trouble of getting cables to run through correctly and due to the fact that you cant print over the air.
Week 1: We assigned jobs to different group members and worked on our understanding of what our project is On the second day of this project we worked on researching how to program with Arduino IDE and started planning how we are going to house the parts. On the third day We continued researching how to program the Arduino, we also worked with the connectivity of our different components. On day 4 of our project we started programming the Arduino to make the display panels work. we got lights working on the display and the LED working on the button. On the fifth day of our project we designed the housing for our components and worked on getting the correct lights to turn on, we figured out how to adjust the brightness of the LED's as well as the color
Connect Arduino to power source (laptop/computer) and download Arduino IDE
next you need to download Adafruit BusIO, Adafruit GFX Library, Adafruit NeoMatrix, and Adafruit NeoPixel
connect NeoPixel display wires to corresponding pins on the Arduino Uno board and connect button wire to corresponding pin on Arduino board
