Additional features using the PuzzleBox32 Mini
06/02/2025 at 10:46 • 0 commentsBesides obvious functionality of movement, switching to PuzzleBox32 Mini gives me:
- Higher resolution (32 bit vs 8 bit Architecture)
- Limit switches:
- Isolation of the limit switch from the controller board
- Power is supplied via the limit switch connectors
- Better noise resilience
- PWM/Enable output for Spindle control (gonna be converted to 0-10V externally)
- Aux port for mist control

CNC Controller Upgrade
06/02/2025 at 10:38 • 0 commentsI've decided to update the CNC Controller from a custom Arduino based board to the PuzzleBox32 Mini (with external drivers and external PWM spindle control).
The PuzzleBox32 is in back order (would have been a better choice), so I'll stick with the PuzzleBox32 Mini.

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!
11/29/2023 at 22:36 • 0 commentsFinally, I got the time to adjust the motor mount bracket and added a belt tensioner to it. Mounted the NEMA 23 motor and added the electronics (Arduino Uno + custom shield) + driver. Tested the Y axis movement using Candle. And it FRAKKIN MOVES!!!

Y Axis plate prototype done
10/21/2023 at 10:22 • 0 commentsGot the Y Axis Stepper motor mounting plate printed in PETG and tested it. Now for testing the actual movement of the axis.
Test setup is gonna be an Arduino, Stepper Motor driver, Power Supplies and a laptop.
