  The most difficult part of this project is the touch screen.

  It can shows questions and answer

  It can detect when someone touch it, and where

  BUT it can't do both at the same time

  We spend our entire time trying to find a code that will work. That will shows questions/answers AND detect when we answer, but it's not so good.

  The screen touch is hard to make it work

  But we did it ! 

  The screen touch AND the ring light go on when the digital touch is touch

  We also made a code for the ring light, to turn it into a timer for each questions. It start with all the led and every seconds (not sur of the timing) one led go off, and when there is no more light, the timer is finished.

  Now we need to complete the most difficult codes, we need to code our screen so it shows questions and answer, but it also had to react when we click on the answers. We also wants the ring light to act like a timer, and to go red or green (if the answer is true or false).

  After working on the ring light last week, we saw that it was not our main problem, in fact the touch screen looks like it.

  We spend our entire time to understand how it was working and how to connect him.

  We use tinkercard to test our connections, we don't want to break our touch screen

  And we made it, we managed to connect everything.

  Our goal now is to search few codes for next week to make it work

  Now that we have our idea, we have to buy components (in fact we did it during the holidays but we decided to go component by component).

  We decided to start with our ring light and the digital touch.

  So our main goal was to code the digital touch and the ring light, the ring light will light up every time the digital touch will be touch.

  We started by checking that our digital touch was working with an arduino and a led.

  The end..... after few discussions we decided to stop the project and to start a new one. Indeed, we weren't all agree about the direction of our project. Hopefully we got an other idea. In this team we all like escape game, in fact we are pretty good at it, so we decided to do a project that will go in an escape game.

  One of us wanted to do a target and one of us wanted to do a screen touch with questions. And that is how our project was born : A screen touch that is activate when a digital touch in a target is activate, the screen will shows a bunch of questions about the theme of the escape game. It will be at the end of the escape game, in fact the last mission before you can escape.

  We end with this idea (sorry if there is few french word in it)

  The target will be surrounded by a ring light. The ring light should lights up when the digital touch is activate. Then the screen touch should starts and begins to explain his purpose. The screen touch will display few questions that you have to answer by touching the screen (ex: 1 question 4 answers you have to choose the good one). During every question the ring light shows a timer, besides when the answer is correct it should turn green, and red for a wrong answer. We hope that we have time to do all of theses specificities.

  After explaining our project to one of our teachers, he asks us what was our theme, but we didn't have any... he told us it was quite important, mainly for our questions.

• The beginning

  During our first class, we start to do a prototype with cardboard. 

  Our consigns were to think of a project that can be in an escape game or in a movie, or to be an interactive games. 
  

  We start to draw few ideas 

   Then, we choose the sword, like in star wars, that do lights and sound when we move it, but with a samurai shape.

  We start thinking what the word should look like and how the components can be add at the sword.

  The final idea was here, we start to do the sword with cardboard

  We planned to add leds, movement detectors and sounds effects on the sword at the next class
