Challenge
According to UN environment report 2014 "Valuing plastics" - "the toy industry is the most plastic intensive industry in the world". Therefore, there has been a need to reduce of usage of plastics in all industries especially in the toy industry.
Lego EV3 or Makeblock are an amazing products for kids to learn coding and robotics, many people want to own it, but it's too expensive. It's been challenge for any children or students to purchase robots with less than $100USD. Paying such expensive price for something not eco-friendly is worth?!

Solution and Product
SCABO is the open-source DIY cardboard robot that is integrated with AR platform for children to learn and play. The project will contribute to the effort of making robotics easier for schools, homeschool families, enthusiasts, and beyond.

Problem

Plastic pollution in the toy industry has been increasing exponentially. In addition, there is no cheap yet eco-friendly product for the market. We set up a very ambitious goal to provide better solution for the toy industry in all aspects - the price, the impact to climate change and the content to play with the toy. We are all players in different meanings.

The cardboard material - we get the certificates to export our cardboard to European countries and US, Korea, Japan. It is recycled cardboard. Thin for children to assemble but durable under different circumstances
