The project began with discussions about the specific needs of disabled individuals. Brainstorming sessions led to the idea of a swingable design, which would reduce the physical effort needed to handle the carafe, since drinking is a big part of our everyday life Using the Fusion 360 app, we created a detailed 3D model of the carafe holder, ensuring the design was and supportive.

The final product is a functional and aesthetically pleasing swingable water carafe holder. Our design minimizes the effort required to handle and pour water, so it’s usable even with limited strength. The turquoise paint and white stickers provide a visually appealing look.

This project shows the effective use of design to create a practical solution for disabled individuals. By focusing on user needs and employing thoughtful design, we were able to produce a functional and attractive water carafe holder.

Once the structure was assembled, we painted it in a turquoise color for a nice finish. The final step involved placing the carafe in the holder and testing the swing mechanism. We made necessary adjustments to ensure the holder functioned smoothly and safely.

The construction process involved several steps. First, we cut with the help of a laser cutter the wooden pieces to the desired shape and size using fusion 360, ensuring they were symmetrical and smooth. We then drilled holes in these wooden pieces where the dowels would be inserted, making sure all holes were correctly aligned to provide stability. Following this, the wooden dowels were inserted into the drilled holes and secured with littke white caps ro make it look more aesthetic.
