08/17/2017 at 23:24 • 4 commentsThis needs a generally tested, breadboarded prototype, or at least it should. I've added 2.2mm drill holes where I could for later case designs to screw on, but I'm not sure about them. A beast to layout and probably more to solder! Seems to make sense to get a stencil for the first time.
- The attiny has some transistors for the RGB backlight now
- I've added a grove connector for other I2C modules
- moved some parts around
- removed the tCream pads off of my AVR pads

PCF8574 - wait what?
08/15/2017 at 22:52 • 4 commentsAlthough I had my run on some designs using this chip, I had to check the datasheet again and noticed something weird. Everyones project I've seen just uses a button that pulls the pin to ground. But what can we observe here on P5? A pull-up resistor of 100kOhms pulls up the input, until you push a switch that connects it to even more pull-ups? I should sleep and tomorrow remove my pull-up stuff from the board.
