This qudrocopter is primarily used for aerial video of large explosions in a hot and dusty environment. The project is mostly completed now, except the GPS module and OSD are not connected and setup.
Due to the heat, dust, and proximity to explosions, durability and strengh was a requirement. The Game of Drones Hiro body impressed me, so I went with it.
While waiting for the parts to arrive, I did some preliminary layout of the internal components using Goole Sketchup.
This is a video from the first time flight out at the shooting range. The gopro was simply strapped on with cable ties, which combined with the strong wind and my lack of flying skills, makes the video quite shaky.
Todo List:
- Install GPS and OSD module.
Nice! With fpv cam too, what frequency is video on?
