Logic Blocks is an open hardware project to make a small logic gate breakout board, for easy prototyping logic gates into a breadboard.
Sometimes when you try to do a logic circuit on a breadboard you go crazy to identify the pinout of each logic gate, so I made these small boards with logic gates symbols on a top silkscreen of the board =)
I have found that "single gate" ICs are more expensive than SOIC14/16 parts. And your PCB needs 4 1G parts so this is not very cost-optimised. But it's a nice idea :-)
Very cool, but would it be difficult to make it fit in a typical DIP-spacing? Not sure how skinny they come, might require four of those 1-gang devices!
I added some more photos for reference, the dimensions now are like a PDIP package but using single gates in TSOP or SC packages maybe it fit in to a DIP style package. mmmm... Thanks for your comment!! =)
Yes, i'm planning to make the basic gates (OR,NOT,NAND,NOR,XOR,XNOR) and some flip-flops, counter, BCD to decimal, BCD to 7 Seg., ... Thanks for your comment =)
Why not slap a piece of printed paper on your existing 74-series stock?
