Build for no good reason. Slipped up with a meter probe and blew a segment of the digit displaying B, replaced it after debugging. You can't bit bang TI shift registers extremely slowly or they get glitchy. 1 khz doesn't work, 100 khz does

Heathkit was built incorrectly and never worked. So that means it's brand new right?

Partly rebuilt, took so long to find a bad capacitor I shelved it for a while

HF transceiver complete rebuild on 3 of them now. Tube based, one jfet we don't talk about :)
Capacitor tester
Handy for finding leaky caps. Someone had reformed caps with it and cooked most of the resistors in the voltage selector. Replaced caps
John Fluke HV power supply
Recapped and restored, one of my favorite devices. Could calibrate voltmeters to 550V with the stepped output.
Signal tracer
Handy old tool for troubleshooting audio and RF
