Hey thanks mate! I'd be more than happy to help out,. It sounds like you could possibly make use of Switchboard... If you want to give it a spin I'd really appreciate feedback/suggestions/complaints
Thanks man, really appreciate it!
It's definitely something like switchboard that i need; I'm wanting my Pi to collect data from the ESP8266-based monitors and use the collected data in the webserver (written using Python and Tornado) to be displayed for the user.
I'm hoping as well to be able to send commands back, allowing the user to set thresholds and manually set relays from the Web-GUI too.
A bonus accomplishment would be if the monitor could run a basic text based webserver for single-monitor use without the Pi.
I've been looking at websockets to carry my communication out but progress is slow. Not sure if the ESP8266 would be the websocket server, or the Pi, or both!
Will definitely have a look at trying out switchboard mate.
Thank you for liking and following my #LiFePO4wered/Solar1 project!
Thanks for the follow buddy!
Fantastic project - my #Aquariumatic could definitely use your advice for when I'm writing my comms between Pi server and the ESP8266 clients!
