Programmer, general tinkerer, student, musician and general nerd :D
A nice power supply made from an old PC PSU. One of the most used projects I've ever made.
Not sure if this counts as a project - all I did was attach a lens from a dvd player to my phones camera to use as a microscope in some research I was doing :)
A webcam which I converted to see in the near infra-red spectrum. Coke looks transparent, banknotes reveal hidden patterns and most importantly IR laser diodes are visible, which allows me to test them without destroying my eyes.
Mini tesla coils, VDGs, flyback transformers, various other ways of electrocuting myself... Almost none of them documented or photographed :P
I repaired a broken old laptop and then decided to give it a second life by flipping the screen and mounting it in a briefcase as a portable display.
A multi-touch surface using my IR webcam and the CCV software. Running some simple pyMT demo apps at the moment. Only hardware aside from the camera was a cardboard box, a sheet of paper and some perspex - all the magic happens in software.
A really basic 3D laser scanner. Based on the makerscanner but built without a 3D printer.

Welcome :) I'm probably going to be building something simmilar and you made my life easy! :P
Howdy, Friend! Thanks for the latest! Oh, BTW, I just inheritted an old toner cartridge, so laser-melting-experiments are on their way :)
Ah great! After some deliberation I decided that I couldn't bear leaving my projects behind, so now I'm back at university with fewer clothes and a suitcase full of parts that must have given the airport security guys a shock :P I am hoping to do some tests as soon as I get everything working again. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Thanks for another! And it's been a few months, but the laser-melting experiments are now underway. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for another, and for including me in your blog-worthy PCB-Printer!
Hey, thanks for following (and the skull way back during the EDC contest)! :)
Thanks for another skull & follow! Once it's done I'll have give your toner process a try :)
