This is what happens after 4 bottles of wine and a $40 trip to the hardware store.

1. GATHER YOUR PARTS
2. CLEAN THE BOTTLES
Clean the labels off the bottle with hot soapy water. Scrape/peel the labels off. The glue can be removed with a scotch bright pad continually rubbing in one direction. You'll see the glue gather into rolls and roll off.
3. BREAK THE BOTTLES
Please use care in this step. Temperature differences can cause some glass to break or shatter. Broken glass is sharp and WILL cut you.

Nice project, I like the looks of this. Some jagged edges on those wine bottles though. Did you cut them using the string/lighter fluid method? I personally I think I'd put a cork in the top of them too.
@Yahmez Thanks for the comment!
The two bottles in the middle were done with the string and acetone method. This ended up with more jagged edges. The method described in the build instructions had a much cleaner cut.
The bottles aren't sharp anymore as we took the sharp edges off with a Dremel tool.
I like your cork idea...might add that to rev 2.

Hah, and here I thought the string/ligher-fluid method was supposed to be clean-cuts... I don't have lighter-fluid, but I do have a sink, Thanks for the new idea. Might try this for my edge-lit "Jar Display"
