I am sort of in the process of creating a SubPos receiver (like a GPS receiver) that can interface to autopilots. I did try to cram most of the trilateration code into an ESP module, but they are just a bit too slow to process this (postioning output was, about once per 5 seconds and limited to 3 Nodes). The ESP module doesn't have any decent floating point stuff either, so it was terribly difficult to program for.

I have got an ESP module firmware that spits out the position information of Nodes however - https://github.com/subpos/esp_wifi_scanner

You would have to couple that with some trilateration calcs on another device. If you don't mind waiting however, I should have a device that does this in the not too distant future.
