Hi and thanks for following my project. I like your idea of the exoskeleton. I am currently building the Inmoov robot and have the right arm nearly complete. We are all hampered by funds but can only do what we can. I have a 3d printer so if you decide to go that route, let me know what you need and i may be able to help.

Thanks for the skull! I hope your vote of confidence isn't misplaced. I think it's great that you're so interested in technology, and that you have places like this to let your imagination run free. As far as not being able to win the space trip, don't let that stop you. Your electronics and programming experience is likely greater than my own!

Regarding Hesa: Is there a particular reason for using hydraulics? Very high loads? Perhaps you could consider muscle wires, as they are electrically operated and rated for millions of cycles?

My intentions for this project are to be able to carry many times more weight than the wielder. It's a good idea, but i don't think it would be able to support as much weight as a hydraulic cylinder will. Thanks for your input on my project :D

Thanx for the skull. I got started in Electronics in the 70's at around 11 to 12. Before there were personal computers. Built my first major project, a transistor radio by 13, based on this guide:

Found my way into engineering and published my first commercial program by 25 in Compute's Gazette magazine. No internet yet!.

Always keep learning, it was harder for me being in the pre internet era to learn and share. Nowadays with online simulators, and forums etc. makes it a wonderful experience.

Thank you for your interest in my project. I always thought the radios were pretty neat. I actually wanted to make a sort of radio communicator as my first project on here. I was going to create a wireless door lock. But then i got into exoskeletons haha. I will definitely email if I need any help, again, thanks.

Thanks, your projects are pretty interesting too. I like the idea of using an Arduino to create your 3D-POV device, as i am a big fan of arduino.

It's progressing well. Currently, i am still trying to acquire the parts for the electromyogram, they're quite expensive. I am also currently still working on the prototype that works well with the users input.

Well, as far as the mechanical parts, i am planning on making my own hydraulic cylinder out of spare parts. As for what the whole base of the arm will be, i'm not quite sure. I'm sort of stumped because of my funding. I don't have any spare parts that could hold enough weight to be plausible for using in the car jack sense.

That's a good idea, still a problem with my budged though. it's like $8 per cm³ with steel, and the metal plates that go around the arm have a lot of volume. so it would be somewhere around $512.

What about laser cutting wood?
That should be less expensive and still quite strong.
