I also have an HCMS-2903 and two HDSP-2000 displays in my parts bin, and I’ve been thinking about using them in a future project. Seeing your work makes me even more excited to experiment with them!
Thank you for your comment. I recognized the importance of the enclosure myself as well as circuits when I was 15. I like designs that are both retro and futuristic and will last a long time because I believe that cutting edge designs become stale over time.
That's also what led me to LED dot displays. I used a transparent red acrylic sheet from a home improvement store as a filter, which is beautiful and increases the contrast of the appearance.
And, thank you for liking my #Prehistory of my homemade PERSEUS computers & 6502 standalone computer & PERSEUS-8 homemade 6502 computer! Even though I was able to build my own computer when I was 20 years old, I could not build an interpreter language like Mr. Bill Gates and others. These are projects in which I tried to overcome that setback at the age of 60 by building my own computer again with the level of technology available at the time, and tried to build a somewhat practical floating-point interpreter on my own.
